100 years ago hargeisa was much much greener, hargeisa was a forest. Lions, leapords, hyenas, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes etc all used to roam hargeisa just 100 years ago.

100 years later, there’s barely any trees in hargeisa, all animals are extinct apart from goats, sheeps and camels. Climate change is to blame but also destroying our own environment, deforestation etc.

There’s a lot of task to do to make Hargeisa green again, you will have to change the minds of the Somali people.

The main issue isn’t climate change, it’s nomads overgrazing.
