This will not fly Turkey has a lot more to gain from this because their territorial claims are laughable and there's no need to side with Turkey which is more erratic than Greece and Cyprus and Egypt.
Greece and South Cyprus give Israel a political advantage for being the EU member states. Beyond that the two bankrupt countries do not offer much to Israel.
The proposal for the Turkish-Israeli maritime deal makes sense for both countries. However, the political climate is not there. At the moment, Israel sees Egypt as a market and a place to liquify natural gas for further exports.
The proposed deep sea gas pipeline from Israel to Europe via South Cyprus and Greece to Italy doesn't make economical sense. None of the countries have billions to throw away either.
The only viable to-Europe gas pipeline Israel can hope for is via Turkey and by connecting to the existing well-developed Turkish gas network.
