Islam even allows a man to marry Christian women yet his racist family didn't want him to be with this Nigerian women, this is the definition of racism.

Why as humans are we obsessed with controlling people's choices in a partner, especially when they still have the same beliefs as us?

I'd love for my kids to marry fellow Somalis and would raise them to see Somalis as their ideal and first choice, but i'd feel bad if I deprived them of marrying someone they loved who is suitable both religiously and lifestyle wise. Life is short anyway. Also, for all of this talk of 'preserving' , simply do your bit and hope for the best instead of resorting to ugly measures. Preservation isn't going to take you Jannah. No, it's the reality of smart women who are selfless enough to understand that kids need a healthy and welcoming family to be born into and that can only happen if the In-laws are okay with the union.

There are far too many mixed kids who are confused and feel unwanted by one side of the family. Whilst you feel he sacrificed for his family, her sacrifice is greater.

When the shaytaan takes over me, I can have nationalistic and ethocentric sentiments. Would I raise my kids to strictly be with Somalis? Yes. But to go as far as being racist, disowning, causing pain ect could put me in a situation where i'm gambling with mine and my children's akhira and for what?
