......So i was thinking.....maybe i finally discovered the Origin Arab tribe of the Somalis. Names usually have a very important weight on primitive tribes or civilizations like old Arabia and Somalia. Maybe i finally cracked the tribe of Somalis. We all know, Arabia and the advent of Islam affected us as a genealogy of people. What is the most common name in Somalis? Xalimo. So i discovered that the arabs are very picky about names. The foster mother of our beloved prophet Muhammaed PBUH was named Halimah bint Abi Dhuayb. She belonged to the tribe of Sa'd b. Bakr, a subdivision of Hawazin (a large North Arabian tribe or group of tribes).
According to the Hadith....Halimah was not rich, and maybe came from a lowly tribe who specialized in nursing babies of the elite Arabs. it was the good fortune of this woman to nurse our prophet pbuh even though in the beginning she didn't want to as he was an orphan and she was the last of the women to have a baby to nurse.
So....fast forward to my topic......the tribe Sa'd is also a common Somali tribe. Sa'd of the Hawiye, Habargidir. Is it possible that........
Somalis are a mixture of a Bantu woman and an Arab from this Sa'd b. Bakr, a subdivision of Hawazin (a large North Arabian tribe or group of tribes).????
Certainly the name Halimaah and Sa'd rings a bell! I didn't find any other trace of this name Halimaah in other Arabian tribes.
Sa'd of the Hawiye possibly is linked to ALL SOMALI Darood, Isaaq and Hawiye?
