The other dictator drove his country into the abyss.
I’m talking about Somalia’s Siyad Barre and Chile’s Augusto Pinochet.
They both killed thousands…..one killed them for no good end result…the other killed to structure his country to develop. He wanted no political ideologists, liberals going against his reforms. He had them thrown out of a helicopters in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. None the less after 17 years he handed over power to civilians. The country had 20% growth rate when he handed over power. The highest living standards in South America.
The other guy ruled for 21 years, refuse to relinquish power. At the end the country was bankrupt and then a civil war ensued. It has been a failed state ever since.
