The pro-Palestine protesters are not designed to get average people on their side. It’s designed for people to voice their anger and do dumb shit which delegitimizes their cause. They keep talking about the river to the sea, for example, which is easily interpreted by their enemies to mean the extinction of the Jews.

The most powerful thing they can do is demand a Palestinian state in a two state solution. This is the position of all western governments and the average Joe can get behind this.

This has resulted in his popular government having a negative approval rating as even neutral Aussies think he’s handled this conflict dishonestly.

One of our major government ministers has all but accused Israel of employing apartheid in the West Bank.

So using Australia as an example in this thread is kinda whack.

You do know the Australian government changed last year. The Labor party has recognising a Palestinian state on their official platform.

1. The work of stupid “Arabs and Muslims”

2. These actions will create a negative effect on the ongoing conflict.

The reality is that neither is entirely true in Australia. The polls show increasing discontent with Albanese’s and the media’s handling of the conflict, primarily due to public protest and awareness.
