The Jews make up 5.5 million of the us population but make up 10% of Harvard, now compare that to the Muslims who are around 3.3 million but only 2.5 %, the population of Jews is less than double of the Muslims but they 4 times in percentage when looking at the percentage of students at.

But your example of Jews being above average by virtue of their ethnicity was flawed. It is an argument employed by many in Muslim vs nonmuslim debates. The factors that make some among the millions of average Jewish ethnicity prominent in scientific circles, law, medicine and everything else is their family wealth and connections. There were exceptions like Einstein who was poor and failed in college. Most others were wealthy who could afford higher education.

Arguments that give special status to people by virtue of ethnicity, religion and culture are always flawed and ignorant. People are born with an empty brain akin to a blank sheet. Environment, opportunities and luck determine how much each and every human uses their brain. The kid born in Somalia's desert can be as smart as the kid born in New York given same opportunities.
