Both these Hadith are from Abu Dawud

Obviously the Sahaba avoided them in their conquest partly undue to the prophets(‏صلى الله عليه وسلم) respect for them for harboring Muslims in their time of need and their respectful response to the prophets (‏صلى الله عليه وسلم), these hadith also give a warning

My question is does this warning extend also to us , should we avoid fighting them or are we syngeneic to the Xabshi and this is only for Arabs

Look at the eytomology of the word حبش in Ancient Egyptian phonotactic writing referred to Punt, obviously the Xabshi king, Najashi of Axum was from present day Ethiopia but are we one people in the context of the word Xabshi or are we a separate people

I wasn’t aware of these Hadith no wonder fighting amxaaro is so disastrous for us, maybe we should just focus on doing business North and Eastward

The Hadith says “as long as they leave you alone” but from the 14th century until today, they were the aggressors fighting against us and other Muslims. They’re the ones who conquered ogaden region and killed Hundreds of thousands of Muslims. Stop misinterpreting Hadith.

That’s also true, and I was going to add that but it slipped my mind

their incursion into our lands could be sufficient casus belli, also it’s not worthy that a land that once belonged to Muslims to return to non Muslim hands

Allah knows best

All this means is to not be the aggressors in a conflict unprovoked and the prophet was mainly addressing the sahaba like this because of a prophesy about the end of times with the turks it's already happen (mongols) as for the habashis basically they will do a year of the elephants 2.0 post esa after islam as a whole has basically been abandoned (the very last days)

For all we know this could be the doing of somalis in the future since the prophet didn't differentiate between horners or it could just be black people in general that end up doing this so maybe the bantu expansion may continue and we may have already been replaced by this point as they advance into Arabia. 🤔

Anyways our many conflicts with them don't count as oneside aggression against them but on the other hand a win for us back then would have meant an end to the ethiopian identity and Christianity and paganism as whole there and the whole region would have been islamised so perhaps they are being protected for the sake of the prophesy.

If short legs habeshas capture Kaaba and Arabia, what does that mean for Somalis??

And Somalis dont have short legs so this hadith obviously refers to those midget habeshis

True, still doesnt refer to Somalis as it states they will attack and colonize Kaaba and Arabia
It could be us but but I seek refuge from allah from such a humiliation

but It’s comforting to know that history tends to repeat and Abraha the first guy that planned to destroy Ka’ba was a Aksumite

Yes but this point is about the end of times when Muslims no longer exist this is post majority of the major signs.

So If somalis still exist then, they won't be muslim neither will the arabs, Indians, Malaysian or anyone else for that matter. There will only be disbelievers left on earth by this point in time.

Yes but also keep in mind apparently somali mercs played a part in abraha's war and his armies would depart from zeila which was controlled by somali/proto somalis at the time. I heard Mohammad artan saying this and he is a historian who specialises in east african Islamic history or something along those lines.

Wait can you tell me where I can read more on that Hadith?

Depends on how to define “Habash” (Abysinnian)

If i’m not mistaken, some Arabs used to refer to the whole horn as the land of Habasha which would obviously include the ancestors of Somalis as the video below states. The video claims Arabic references referred to Black Africans as either Habash or Sudan, the former includes Ethiopia and their immediate neighbours in the horn of Africa.

Note: A BLM Xalimo created this video and I don’t condone the victimhood narrative she’s trying to push but her video is informative.

No it's all cap watch Mohammad artans vids he is actually informative and goes indepth and he's an actual historian who specialises in this field. His vids are all in English.

The border between us was the Awash River. While I might not agree with it the beef with Ethiopia currently is completely Halal my friend.

Obviously many Arabs didn't care about the Hadith and repayed Abyssinian hospitality with centuries of slave raids against Ethiopians.

This BS video should be taken down. Cringe.
Anyway later on Arabs started separating somalis and Abyssinians and used the term barbar from us . It seems that at least from the 11-12th century Arabs were perfectly aware that xabashis and somalis were different peoples.
Anyway the original Xabasha word mainly referred to Christians from the Ethiopian kingdom and vaguely applied to the rest of the horn. Zanj and especially Sudan was often used as general term for black Africans

I can’t take anyone who wants to claim that Somalis were enslaved as ever being historically accurate. The fact that she tries to conflate the history of Bantu Africans who were indeed enslaved with Somali history is enough for me to avoid her content.

The fact that she tried to claim that Somalis were enslaved en-masse makes it obvious that she probably doesn’t know what’s talking about. One thing i’ll never understand is people confidently posting inaccurate content when information is available now. I suppose people like to distort history based on their agenda.
