Theory on a hadith

I have noticed a few things and thought I might share it with you guys. Know that these are just assumptions and assumptions do not replace the truth.

narrated by the great Sahaabi Thawbaan (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrated that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“Three will fight one another for your treasure, each one of them the son of a caliph, but none of them will gain it. Then the black banners will come from the east, and they will kill you in an unprecedented manner.” Then he mentioned something that I do not remember, then he said: “When you see him, then pledge your allegiance to him even if you have to crawl over the snow, for that is the caliph of Allah, the Mahdi.”

- Treasure here might imply to either Mecca or Medina.

Notice how it says each one of them the son of a caliph. As of recently we've seen the conflicts that are happening in Saudi Arabia. If we look at the current state of who would potentially become the leader after Salman the current King. We see that it aim at 3 people who are descendants of a caliph. We even see it in the news how these 3 are in a struggle for power:

Hmmm, I wouldn't call King Salman a caliph, but I can see your point. However, there's a slight issue in your theory, Mohamed bin Nayef is not the son of a previous King, Nayef bin Abdulaziz used to be a crown prince who died before King Abdullah. I think this Hadith may apply sometime in the future after the re-establishment of an Islamic Caliphate perhaps.

Does that hadith mean the Saudi riyals will be wiped out? Who is coming from the east? Why does it say they will kill them in great scores?

Why did the narrator forget he most important bit, which I guess is the identity of the Mahdi which was forgotten. The way the sentence is structured it's like the narrator just skipped the story and forgot some important parts.
