One off cousin marriage- Okay.
Generational cousin marriage- Not okay.
Luckily Somalis do not practice generational cousin marriages. In fact, our ancestors did not like cousin marriages and preferred to marry into other families to strengthen ties. Various historical books mention this. That isn’t to suggest that Somalis never practice cousin marriages, but when we do, it’s usually a one off in a sense that usually the parents and grandparents weren’t cousins, therefore marrying a cousin once in a generation hardly poses any dangers provided the family doesn’t have any genetic illnesses.

In the south they like sisters better than cousins,the whittakers definitley had grandparents or ancestors who were siblings

USA government need to intervene in this fucked up family
The youngest person in that family is 42 mentally challenged, can’t speak and childless. Think it’s safe to say they are dying out this generation. It’s sad but somewhat effed up to see how they all turned out. None of it’s their fault but their forefathers just married each other and this the result
