He is a soldier not a civilian mate. But Hamas killing of 800 non combatants which sparked this war is haram and forbidden, and I have a gut feeling Israel knew the attack was coming but they allowed it to have justification to wipe out Gaza once and for all.

The Rights of the Non-Combatants:
