How many times have we all heard "You are perfect for me" and then felt some sort of acceptance from that person only to have that particular person turn around and revoke those words?
First of all, no one is perfect for another human being. We are all flawed and unique creatures. None of us are any carbon copy of someone else on this planet. Even twins are different from one another. This is a good thing.
Second, because humans are flawed they say things they don't mean but have good intentions or do things they don't think about but mean no harm. Not all people set out to hurt others, it is an inadvertent action even they don't realize they are doing. Grant you there are a handful of folks that are cruel for the sake of being just that, cruel. Rare but they do exist.
Third, knowing yourself should be your number one priority! Only when you know yourself, can you love yourself and accept yourself for who you are and what you want to be or will be. Once you know yourself, your steps in life are going to be easier.
What is the point of all this? Well, every person on this planet is unique and is loved for that. We aren't all going to look like the perfect man or woman. We aren't suppose to... and I ask you, who truly wants to be?
Every person on this planet offers something beneficial to each of us. It doesn't matter if its good or bad. Life lessons aren't always a pleasant ride...but they make us stronger, smarter and wiser.
I don't think there is someone perfect for someone else out there. but perfect is relative. One person's idea of perfect is another person's idea of flawed. We all have our flaws, and there's someone out that can compliment our flaws and in some ways complete us. Does that mean that two souls that compliment each other can't live without each other? Of course not, but they sure do make fireworks happen when they are together.
These are the people that respect each other and love each other BECAUSE of their flaws. Each couple has a challenge for the other, but what makes that so important in a relationship is that the other takes on those challenges and grows/learns from them. If each couple can make each other a better person, that's a great pairing. If each person can feel confident to be their own person and trust that the other loves them anyway, that's a great pairing.
If you love that the fights happen and know that making up is soon to follow and still love that person even during those fights, that's a great pairing. It's about acceptance of both yourself and the other person.
If two people are going to be together, then both people must cherish everything about that person, even the irritating parts. It's all a part of the package....yup, even the baggage. Both people in a relationship will take on that baggage from their significant other and hold their hands through each of their life trials if you are going to have a "perfect" relationship. And interestingly enough, a good person learns from unpacking all that baggage.
Summary: You are a beautiful, unique individual and someone on this planet loves and cherishes you just as you are but you need to love yourself before you are going to be able to see it.
