It's a disgrace that we have enemy Ethiopian troops in our country killing Somalis, Siad Barre is turning in his grave. I hope Egypt and Sudan destroy Ethiopia.Well Ethiopia has thousands of troops in Somalia...
Its a big disgrace and I feel ashamed to be SomaliIt's a disgrace that we have enemy Ethiopian troops in our country killing Somalis, Siad Barre is turning in his grave. I hope Egypt and Sudan destroy Ethiopia.
Exactly sxb, you hit the nail on the head, they will absolutely attempt to control Jubba waterflow and this dam may completely dry up our meagre fresh water resources. Somali leaders all need to be hanged for treasonYou guys are all idiots if you think Ethiopia is going to keep the Jubba river flowing as an act of kindness. No you fools they will use it as a bargaining chip / ace up their sleeve in the future against Somalia.
Wallahi for the life of me I cannot figure out why anybody suddenly trusts Ethiopia because a dirty Oromo named Abiy? Are you guys that dumb? Abiy is unleashing hordes of Oromo militias against Somalis in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia already has thousands of troops in Somalia and dumb Somalians are giving them the okay to build a dam and control the flow of river water to Somalia
f*ck Somalia man we’re cursed. We are our own worst enemy
Egypt, Somalia, and Sudan should be on the same side against Ethiopia. Ethiopian bootyclappers aka Nabar Iyo Naxdin fans keep eating the raw meat you bug eyed wannabes
Egypt and their Arab lackeys do us no favours. If we take a neutral stand or back Egypt it will definitely backfire on us in the long run. Ethiopia have multitudes of cards in their Arsenal to hurt us. We can't think of opposing Ethiopia on such sensitive international matters. We can only challenge Ethiopia Once we get our acts together, rise from the ashes and become a respectable country again.
An actual incentives for Egypt to support some proper opposition for next year's elections.
If Egypt, Sudan & Somalia all blockaded Ethiopia they would fall apart within a year.
We have a lot more power than you think and our support shouldn't be in return for a measly 80% of Jubbas flow.
80% of 1990s flow or todays? Everyday they postpone it the flow reduces and they need it more than us.
Farmajo did the right thing here. Somalia should not challenge Ethiopia on transboundry rivers because all of our water comes from Ethiopia. We need to maintain Ethiopian goodwill on this issue because we will be negotiating with them in the future. Somalia owes Egypt no favors, we owe Sudan a lot, but Egypt can go to hell. I want Ethiopia to guarantee 80% flow for the Juba, nothing is worth putting that kind of agreement at risk.
Do you have a pinpoint location of where the dams are located or planned to be located?

u talking about if What, fam then they will use this card againts us in the future they will demand n damn portFlow will probably increase as East Africa becomes wetter. Flow in the Juba has held steady and has slightly increased in the Shabelle. The dams in Ethiopia may even be a good thing because they reduce flood potential. Ethiopia cannot really use the Juba much as it is in steep valleys for over 95% of the distance in which it is in Ethiopia. They don’t use the river for much of anything. It will not be very difficult to come to terms with Ethiopia on the Juba’s flow.
