The other day, another generation of Gazi Husrev-beg's madrasah graduates, the 469th, was ceremoniously promoted in Sarajevo.
By traditionally walking along the street of Ferhadija, the newly graduated students of the Gazi Husrev-bey Madrasah announced the solemn promotion of their generation in the same name mosque.
Proud parents, relatives and many other guests, as well as casual by-passers, were present at today's defile in Baščaršija.
After a traditional walk, the graduates entered the Gazi-Husrev-beg mosque, where their class elders made the call and promotion of this 469th generation of graduates.
The Harem of Gazi Husrev-bey's mosque was too small receive all the guests who were there to greet the happy graduates.
This year's madrasah in Sarajevo were completed by 74 girls and 47 boys, and 58 of them achieved excellent success and proper conduct (behaviour).
Mash'Allah, my heart is filled with pride and my soul with joy as I look at this pious Bosniak youth. May Allah swt guide them and protect them on their path through life, so that they may serve and be the pride of their people and Islam, Amin!
