The place where nothing happens

Ever heard of this land? Apparently it’s called Somalia.

Time has stood still in this place for 30yrs. It’s amazing but stories tell that people have been eating the same type of food for 30yrs.

Clothes haven’t changed either.

Politics is also the same. The locals called Somalis are still occupied with the same issues for 30yrs .

The economy is the same for 30yrs. Living standard hasn’t moved.

Architecture is the same for 30yrs. Same types of structures, choices are few.

Cars are also 30yrs old models.

Nothing moves forward and nothing moves backwards in this land.

Somalia has experienced tremendous growth over the past 30 years. It is not true to say that time has stood still over the past 30 years. Per capita income has almost doubled, for example.

Child mortality, maternal mortality, literacy etc.... almost all indicators of wellbeing have risen.
