What is the Century Initiative?

The Century Initiative is a Canadian lobby group and charity that aims to increase Canada's population to 100 million by 2100. This includes increasing the population of megaregions, which are interlocking areas with more than one city centre and a typical population of 5 million or more

This includes increasing the population of megaregions. It suggests a population increase for the Greater Toronto Area from 8.8 to 33.5 million, the Greater Montreal region from 4.4 to 12.2 million, the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor from 2.8 to 15.5 million, the Greater Vancouver region from 3.3 to 11.9 million, the National Capital Region from 1.4 to 4.8 million, the Southwestern Ontario region from 1.2 to 2 million, and the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region from 800,000 to 1.7 million

Can you imagine Toronto alone being populated with 33.5 MILLION people? ~84% of the entire population of Canada, squeezed right into the GTA. Source is page 41 of this report

Connections:

The Century Initiative group was cofounded by Mark Wiseman, who was at the time the Global Head of Active Equities of BlackRock, and Dominic Barton, who was at the time the head of McKinsey & Company. Other connections includes board members Thomas V. Milroy, who was the former CEO of BMO (the Bank of Montreal). Brian Mulroney, a former Prime Minister of Canada, is also a supporter and proponent of the century initiative.

I dont want to make this too long. I'm stopping here so this information is actually absorbed. I don't even think I need to say anything else as the implications of this are obviously massive.

According to the century initiative “more immigrants” are needed to fix the housing problem. Bring immigrants to build houses—-> need more houses for immigrants —-> bring more immigrants for houses. It can’t get any more unserious and paradoxical, and yet…

It is estimated it will take an additional 3.5 million affordable housing units by 2030 to restore affordability in Canada. Immigration
will be an important contributor to growing the skilled workforce needed to expand housing supply.

Now if we were bringing in a bunch of Mexicans I’d agree. But all we’re getting is… well.. you know

It’s not really retarded for those involved lobbying in it as it all works in their favour 100million disposable slaves living in a box $1 away from being homeless is the dream for them. They will also make even more $$$ from the never ending real estate bubble.

It’s not about us it’s never been about us it’s about their $$$$$. These people are not dumb they’re literally Canada’s 1%, they know what they’re doing.
