A lot of people don't know this, but the most significant person in Hirshabelle is AUN Maxamed Cumar Xabeeb, aka Maxamed Dheere.

Both the current leaders of Hirshabelle (Guudlaawe and Dabageed) used to work under him; Guudlaawe was the appointed finance minister of Shabelle dhexe under then Governor of Shabelle dhexe Maxamed dheere.

Dabageed, who is sometimes jokingly referred to as an "abgaal man," was a close friend of Maxamed Dheere. Dheere brought several well-known people into politics, including former prime minister Cali Geedi, Guudlaawe, and Dabageed.

Dheere gave his MP seat so that Cali Geedi could be appointed prime minister, and Geedi, as a favour to Dheere, appointed Dabageed the GOVERNOR of Hiiraan.

Important side note: Maxamed Dheere, Guudlaawe, and Cali Geedi all hail from the same sub sub clan.

Reality is, there was never an abgaal vs. xawaadle political conflict in Hirshabelle; all along, xawaadle have been getting politically dominated for approximately 30 years by a single sub clan of harti abgaal called warsangeli abgaal.

From 1960s with no evidence lol not even 1 mp from Jowhar from Aden Adde govt. owbakar MP came from Afgooye in that govt and daud from Jamaame. What does that tell you laangaabyahow? As for 2000s

The first confrontation started when rival militiamen from the Hawadleh and Galje'el clans exchanged heavy gunfire near the main market of the town. Eyewitnesses said the Galje'el clansmen lost 12 of their fighters while their Hawadleh opponents lost eight during a fighting right inside the market place.

The shooting subsided a little after the Galje'el clan militiamen withdrew from the town leaving their houses and properties under the mercy of their friendly and strong Warsangeli subclan of Abgal to protect.

As the Hawadleh clan militiamen went around the area in search of something to loot, they met a man with a gun guarding an oil- milling machine. In blunder they killed the man who happened to be a Warsangeli fighter.

The Warsangeli militiamen, annoyed by the killing, attacked the Hawadleh militiamen in their turn. The ensuing exchange of heavy fire forced the Hawadleh clan militiamen to withdraw from the town to Buraneh village, about 23 kilometers north of the town on Monday, thus giving chance for the return of the ousted Galje'el militiamen.

Meanwhile, another armed confrontation has begun between the Warsangeli and Agon-Yar subclans of Abgal dominating the entire region.

the link you posted shows Gaaljecel being kicked out west of the city by Hawadle and not the other way around. mohamed Dheere took advantage of this to start war with Hawadle in their stronghold hantiwadaag while being at war with Gaaljecel but we blocked him from mahaday until we reached reconciliation. what fucking Udeejeen west of the river Muddle shabelle up to Hantiwadaag Jowhar belongs to Hawadle. Gaaljecel own west of the river south of jowhar until qalimow of Moobileen the closest Mudulood about 30km south of Jowhar. Jowhar road North is Hawadle ahd south is Gaaljecel as shown in the map.
