The oil is not happening anytime soon but at least we get turkey to pay for this expensive research.the ship will be off our coast next 7 months imagine the fuel, food, ship crew, scientist costs. it would be milions of dollars we dont have so its great we finally get some real data on turkeys dime. Finally we can say if we have oil or not. More than likely nothing major will be found but will pray we get lucky. Somalis need some glimpse of hope because we are so limited with resources and sources of income

If oil is to be a blessing, the country must have a stable and democratic government and corruption curtailed, security must be guaranteed, every man and woman’s rights protected. Otherwise none of the revenue will have a tangible effect on the improvement of the ordinary Somalis livelihood.

Oil is a blessing if its not relied on. Only should be used to catch up then a transition to industrialization and other sectors of somalia. Somalia has more then just oil and this quick oil can fund the development for all somalis. But the key is a proper government, and im certain this current government is not capable.
