I just came back from xamar and believe me if you compare the city from 2011 to 2015 to present day you’ll notice a HUGE difference. Rome wasn’t built in one day. Go check it out for yourself. I feel like you’ll build a connection to the place once you actually go there.

The only thing that makes me proud to be a Somali is my awoowe who migrated to Saudi Arabia and became a millionaire there and the Republic of Somaliland. I believe if his generation (those born in the 1920s) had access to the same opportunities Somalis have nowadays they would've achieved a lot more. Moreover, he was from Laasqory Somaliland and I believe Somaliland shouldn't have joined Somalia in the first place that was the biggest mistake made by him and his generation of Somalilanders. He even used to convince his Saudi co-workers to financially support SYL in Somalia which was a noble but a stupid thing to do to be honest. They should've gone Djibouti style, focused on Somaliland and independence was coming anyway. 80% of the failed union hard currency used to come from Berbera. Here in Saudi Arabia the Somalilander community those belonging to Isaaq and Harti (Majeerteen included from neighbouring Somalia) are successful businessmen, prestigious government employees, and renowned employees in the oil industry some with western passports getting paid 50%-100% more than their Saudi colleagues. On the other hand those from non puntland Somalia are nothing more than servants and private drivers of sheikhs if they were lucky and the stained the once glorious Somali name in Saudi Arabia turning all of us into bunch of laangaabs.

One thing that irritates me is the lack of shame, false sense of pride that us somalis have. We have people flexing cities with no sewage, paved roads and most importantly running water.

Walaal bear in mind that somalia is a relatively new project. When our civil war era is over, we will enjoy lasting peace for centuries to come.

The majority of africans are just waiting to wage war upon their enemies. Our population is just not docile enough to allow dictatorships to last.

One has to be patient. Once we achieved reconciliation between all somalis, we will dominate the whole region and futher.

Don't underestimate the people they are business minded when they have stability. A stable gov ought to provide the necessary infrastructure and funding to let our businesses communities dominate sub sahara africa.

The only thing we need is citizinship status for all somalis who become equal under the eyes of the gov. No qabiil nonesense just the right person who will help the nation to progress in a specific field.
