I know Dr Peter Singer and attended a couple of his lectures in Melbourne, he is very controversial here too loathed by many. Most doctors give similar advice to the parents and he claims that 95% heed to their advice and abort foetuses with major defects. He isn't saying kill the living children with birth defects, but abort them when they are foetuses if they've disabilities. Anyway most people do it already, but he amplifies their actions loudly and puts across in a coherent and philosophical argument. Nobody wants to hear or discuss it in the open while most do it and it is legal. On bestiality, he argues that rural men have sex with cows and sheep (Somalia's case with camels, cows and goats), but argues against any kind of cruelty during sex with animals and says, it is immoral, but if it is done in a mutually satisfying way, then it is ok. He is an animal liberationist and predicts that is where the next boat of sexual liberation is heading to and the prohibition of today will be defeated like the others. He is making predictions how to treat animals humanely when bestiality becomes legal. Very controversial.
He donates 20% of his wages to refugees world wide.
