OPINION The lack of violence on February 8 exposed something beutiful.

The political environment of 1991 where a brutal dictator massacred thousands and took sole control of the government induced destruction in Xamar.

However, since the current government is born from reconciliation it has focused on nation wide development. Consequently the average person in Xamar doesn't feel wronged at all. Furthermore due to the economic inclusivity within the nation, noone has the appetite to lose their livelihoods.

The goverment is also made up of people from all sections of the nation unlike the Siad Barre regime. Hence we are already seeing the power of inclusive institutions at play.

Thus the opposition Qabilists have played their hand and failed. They claimed that Farmaajo would be attacked and widespread violent protests would occur but nothing of the sort happened.

Threatening 1991 style attacks and not being able to follow through exposes the power of inclusive instituitons. A new Somalia is being formed, slowly but surely we are escaping this nightmare.

What do yoy think is going to happen to deni and madoobe if they refuse again
I think next time they are going to have a deal, the International community will pressure all parties to have an agreement

Why do you think the candidates that are running to be president are so incompetent
cause the only look for power and money. All of them. They don't care about the nation, most of them are former diaspora somali who came back to get some cash
