Guys forgive me but i am just pondering here. So i was thinking:
The importance of a Mother is VITAL. It literally fixes the future of the child. If a mother is God fearing and raises the child in goodness and righteousness, the child will grow up good-- despite the father whether he is there or NOT!
Mother of Maryam ibn Imran- the mother of Issa/Jesus---was very religious and her prayers to God was accepted! She asked for a son to dedicate his life to the worship of God- but God gave her a girl, Maryaam pbuh. She cried out aloud- "Oh lord you gave me a girl?" And God said "I know what i gave." Ileyn God had a plan. Issa/Jesus pbuh would be the boy Maryaam's Mother Imran prayed for. Mashalaaah! basically the prayers of the grandmother was accepted a generation later- for Who is more perfect a worshipper other than prophet Muhammad pbuh ?
Another Mother. Prophet Ibrahim pbuh mother was a believer while his father was the king of Kufaars-he built the fake god statues and sold them. Because of his mother Ibrahim pbuh ended up being the Prophet that God loved, because of his worship- and gave his decedents a series of prophets. I mean, isn't this amazing? The son of a Statue maker becomes a good favorite prophet because his wife, the mother of his child was a believer!
Mothers spent time with the child from infancy- so it is natural the power she has over the child. Maternal influence is basically a blue print for who the child is until he or she natural life!
Not to mention the mother of Prophet Ismael pbuh . Her imaan and her action of Safaa oo Marwo/a is still practiced today as part of the Hajj pilgrimage tradition! Her patience as she searched for water back and forth for her crying child.
Another glaring sign- the Wife of Fi'raun - was secretly a believer. And God had another Godly plan of sending prophet Musa pbuh to be raised by a righteous Godly woman. Are we suprised then that Prophet Musa ended up being a favorite of his God too? God Subhannah waa taacaalah spoke to Musa pbuh directly!
A good example for me is my Isaaq mother - she was not religious per say- but she prayed her salats just like her Mj Webeneya mother, my grandmother! But she was extremely righteous. Any form of immorality was scorn off severely. Absolute upright and no compromise. We feared her like crazy. I think i still have that fear until today. I remember our eldest sister at 14 wanted to wear a short skirt for high school-my mom went ballistic. She was whipped, and then all us we were whipped too for offences we did. Then we had our ice creams and all was fine. Her many children Mashalaah inherited this trait of goodness. Honesty, morally sound- although disgusted by se.x in General! lol
Her righteousness never changed. and somehow that righteousness is what we were exposed to as babies- that is ALL we know today.
To match it now- and reflect with my study of Islam. I am amazed. Mashalaaah
So Moral of this article is:
