tbh I don't even mind the fact they rebelled in fact if they had after 1985 I would prob supported them. By then people like Mamo Khadija and shit started to take over and created a clannish regime and used red berets to put Barre in the back seat. What I don't like about all the rebellions is that no one except early SSDF had a plan to create government after Siyaad.

Still lost though, life would be so much different for all of us if we won.

You could not defeat Ethiopia After several months they gathered 200,000 soldiers and then supported the fronts that brought down the government. Therefore, I do not know what the Somalis benefited from this. It was a clear loss even before the fighting began.

Even when the Somali forces were defeated, he ordered the killing of the best commanders and officers, because he was afraid that they would stage a coup against him when they returned. He also left entire battalions of the army behind, and they were all killed.
