Yes I had to be the one to bring it up but I couldn’t help but notice the saudi and iranian teams awrah everywhere so I felt conflicted.

Iran:

Women are obligated to cover their hair and body. It is Law and they will beat you in the streets for it.

But Men wear shorts showing their awrah comfortably at the gym, playing sports, at the beach etc while the women are covered everywhere. They have a hijab law for women but not for men. It’s ridiculous. Do they think enforcing the deen is only for women? You can’t even force someone to wear hijab but they are and killing people over it but men are free from the religion ay?

Search up beach photos in Iran and all women are covered and men are in short shorts with top and bottom awrah exposed

Saudi:

Hijab is not Law but it damn near is in Saudi and women especially Saudi/Muslim women are 100% expected to be fully covered and majority women wear niqab. But in sports, beachs, daily life men can have their awrah out without any trouble, why?

The whole Muslim world is celebrating Saudi Arabia winning against Argentina but they haven’t condemned them for not wearing proper hijab. Are they not promoting immodesty? I’ve even seen popular Islamic ummah dudes celebrating and even Saudi Islamic Scholars too. Yet no word about their awrah.

So the final question is:

Is Modesty only for women? Because we have an immodesty pandemic among Muslim men.

Yes sis, these new-age Muslim men think modesty is only for women. In fact, it's like Islam has only been sent down for women.

They wear nut-hugging clothes, extremely tight shirts, reveal their private areas (thighs, belly button) and so forth. They also like to stare at women, non-mahrem women to be precise and police them. I wonder whose idea it was to make men 'Morality Police' for women. Doesn't this go against Islamic law? Since when are men allowed to stare at women and even spend time alone with non-mahrem women (morality police 'arrests').
Thanks to these dumb males, Islam has been painted out to be a woman-hating, crude religion for hypocrites. Hence the natural attraction and alliance between them and "men going their own *gay* way and other misogynist gaalo.

If I wasn't born into Islam, I would also think it was a woman-hating religion and be put off even from reading about it. I feel sorry for all the good-hearted people that are led astray just from hearing these ignoramuses misrepresent this beautiful religion.

Just saw you know there is actual valid opinion that you can show your knees. I’ll have to do some digging but remember coming across it because of Hadith of the Prophet peace be upon him where his knees was showing and Abu bakr and Umar radiAllahuanhuma could see.

Reminds me of that video of a nonmuslim woman in Egypt wearing revealing clothes at the beach and all the men were staring at her but they all had their awrah out too. All the comments were policing her. Wallahi it’s easy being a muslim man in this world

They won't have it easier in the afterlife.

I am both amused and aghast at the audacity of making men 'moral police' over women.
It would be 100% times more appropriate to have female clerics and 'guides' to advice women over modesty.

A strange man staring at you and telling you what to do is not only haram, but very scary.

The Prophet (saws) warned against these types of people.

There is Modesty for men that they need to adhere to, but it’s more socially acceptable for a man to dress down than a women as that’s just how society is today.

Untill you change societies view, nothing will change.

The thigh is not extreme Awra like P#nis or B#ttock, so exposing it for need and considering there is no fitnah is fine, I mean no one comes to football matches to watch thighs.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are not complete governments they have limitations. We need to applaud the good things they do. These comparisons you(feminists) always make are just silly.

Who told you thighs are not awrah? LOL

You think people do not watch men? Women watch men and even men can get distracted by men. There is a reason why men have been told to cover their Awrah, the same reason women have been told to cover their awrah. Also the same reason both genders have been told to lower their gaze.

You should read what happened to Prophet Yusuf AS and then come tell us again that men are not fitnah to women!

Why do some of you men think that men are not tempting for women? LOL

They actually think that only the female form is distracting. I hate to break it to you, but women have lust and desires just like men. Most women are not asexual robots or lesbians.

The scholars actually differed on whether the thigh is Awrah or not and I said the thigh is not extreme Awrah which means I believe the thigh is Awrah.

The fact that the scholars disagreed on this matter and there is authentic Hadith which says that the Prophet scw uncovered his thigh in front of Abu Bakr and Umar shows how the exposure of the thigh for necessity is not a big deal.

The fact that women have to cover up more than men indicates that modesty is more emphasized, and as a result leads to more societal stigma. Not defending it or anything but it's pretty obvious that Islamic sins differ by sexes due to their opposing responsibilities and roles

So when it suits the narrative, we should follow Western society but when it doesn’t it’s all “Western degenerate society”.

Islam shouldn’t be following societal norms, isn’t that what all of you have been saying??

Women can uncover their hair and some other awrah parts in front of women too. That doesn’t mean it’s not awrah.
