It is terrifying to have kids these day.
I don’t even like them
I don’t want to go through pregnancy, pregnancy pains, a hellish birth, postpartum bleeding, postpartum depression, breastfeeding, snatching back your body…… aaaaaak! So much work for some stupid man’s child.
Then let’s not talk about the years of raising these mother efffers, and even the father potentially leaving the kids.The Somali community does have a issue of absentee fathers
. I mean there is no guarantee that a man will not abandon the kids and have to do all the work yourself. The only way to do that is to not have kids. but I need my retirement plan
if I was wealthy I’d never let a man f*** up my womb like that.

I don’t think it’s common. It’s rather unnatural as mothers tend to have an unbreakable bond with their child regardless of appearance. There is science behind it. The pregnancy, birth and the breastfeeding changes the structure of the brain. On the most basic level, these changes, prompted by a flood of hormones during pregnancy and in the postpartum period, help attract a new mother to her baby. In other words, those maternal feelings of overwhelming love, fierce protectiveness, and constant worry begin with reactions in the brain.
However, despite it not being common for mothers to resent and abandon that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen a fair amount and tbh, not every woman is maternal. People are different and don’t always follow the pattern that is expected. For those in that situation, I genuinely feel for them. There is nothing more pure and unconditional than the love of a mother. It’s sad when children are left by their fathers, but people find it a lot easier getting over the trauma of being abandoned by father than that of their mother. I suppose it could be due to how common it is? Men aren’t fiercely attached to their children as mothers, nor are they in many cultures expected to play a pivotal role in an Infant’s life. But mothers? They’re the primary carers and the most significant individual in a child’s life. Therefore, having ‘mummy issues’ is tragic.

Men most of the time only like children that come from a women that they are with, when they breakup with that women, it’s rare for them to stick around for the kids and when he gets a second family, the kids are totally usurped in his affection
