Why isn’t Kheyre all the way at the bottom?
To be frank I do not think there has been ever a strong or good PM in Somali history. Almost all of them were weak second fiddle to president, Gacanyare if you like to say. The only two who left an impression on me were:
1-Farmajo: I vividly remember that one of his best selling points during presidential election of 2017 was paying soldiers salaries on time during his tenure as Prime Minister. It was deemed as something extraordinary during the corrupt government of Shiekh Shariff. It just shows how incompetency was normalized back than that TFG as an institution and struggling government failed to pay front line troops for months.
2-Kheire: I never seen a PM that left a bigger impression on average Somali citizen as Kahire did. This guy is credited for creating the current N&N cyber brigade. He effectively exploit modern techniques to influence masses on social media to raise the popularity of his government and conflate it with Somalia's recovery.
As an educated, articulated young man he made constant photo shoots, announcements and conferences aimed directly to raise the morale of the youth. He was such a fresh air representing the next generation of Somali politicians. What helped him even more that most PM's before him were old, ignorant, obese, uninspiring warlords or glorified cab drivers from the west, so anything even marginally better was considered a miracle. He spoke directly to the Somali youth frustrated with incompetent old school politicians who held the country hostage to their selfish, narrow minded, personal interests.
I can not remember any other PM before these two as they never left an impression on me. They were all being abused my president or get replaced so often that it destabilized the early governments.
