But is the galbeed putting in less than they are getting out? The premise you made would be one where ethiopia is providing more to the galbeed than is being returned.
They sure do:
When the ONLF won in 1994 and proposed a referendum
Galbeed is putting in more then it takes, here is some proof! In my demonstration I will exclude the three federally chartered cities. I will also be using world bank data and the good thing about that is that I can seperate it by urban/rural (which more accurately Somali, Oromo, and Afar regions because nomads tend to do really badly on most metrics due to their lifestyle) so basically I’m comparing Somalis who live in towns to say Oromos and Amharas who live in Towns
Urban Somalis by % are more likely to live in good houses (the world bank qualifies this with “walls made out of stone and cement, blocks plastered with cement, blocks unplastered, mud bricks, parquet or polished wood”. In this metric we are only beat by Tigray and Afar (both are literally made of stone) Mind you we have a large nomadic population so us having 3x better homes then Amharas and Oromos says a lot.
Urban Somalis by % have better access to solid waste management
Urban Somalis by % have better access to sanitation
Mind you this is with official Ethiopian data, and you know how they lie. Also shout out to the Afars they be doing really good on all of these metrics (shockingly the best electrification rates outside of federally chartered cities- 30%!)
