Yes the number has increased to 200 rape allegations for the year. On the contrary London has 500+ allegations a month with a 3% conviction rate.

In Western Somaliland, there was actually a bridal kidnapping culture in the pre colonial times noted by explorers. Men would kidnap women and force them into marriage. It wasn’t seen as a bad thing. Obviously this carries to the modern day where rape isn’t seen as the huge crime that it is and victims are blamed or forced to marry their rapist. There needs to be a cultural shift.
