The coming generation is completely catastrophic

I don't even know if you realize it, my sister looks after kids since she works at middle school and the kids all already have cell phones with Tik-Tok installed on them, some even have Snap and others.

Those kids have litteraly grew up with reality TV, internet, social networks, hard , YouTubers, Twitchers, streetwear etc.

The Internet has radically changed human and social relationships, so nothing to do with the older generations, the well-rehearsed speech "every generation say the same " is false, the proof is with the drop in I.Q., culture, morality etc. as the time since the 2010s

And this next generation will eventually take over and govern countries in the West. What’ll happen then? Total chaos and anarchy

You used to train niggas day in day out to do this assembly line style work. But kids are getting practice in the art of repetitive instant gratification before they even hit the workforce.

Before, the moment a kid got pulled into the matrix was at 5 when he first walks into school.
Now it's the moment he leaves the cute stage and his 3 jobs momma gives him Mac Donald's with a side of TikTok.

Every generation says the next one is doomed. If television and the internet didn't screw up Baby Boomers, Gen X and Millennials then why would social media mess up Gen Z?

social media has done irreparable damage to young people, especially tiktok. I deleted it 3 years ago and never looked back, it’s a cursed app nacala. I read an article that said Chinese TikTok shows children educational videos and videos about self improvement, but American TikTok shows children the most degenerate stuff. stay off these apps walaalyaal :fittytousand:

These kids can barely even read these days, they're saying 7th grade kids are reading at a 3rd grade level.

I think the difference might be restriction. Television was extremely restricted back in the day and even now. Whereas the internet at that time was at its earliest stages (maybe except for millennials?) so it was harder to find graphic content like we do now and to find it there were very, very specific websites.

Unfortunately, not only is it extremely easy to find p0rn and gore websites these days, but some of it is seeping into normal social media, such as twitter, YouTube (to some extent), and even Instagram. All of those which children often use (except for maybe twitter).

Also, TikTok is a problem of its own. Idk how they moderate that app, but so much degeneracy is showing on there with children having easy access to it. Degeneracy as in - radical ideas, people such as Andrew Tate (my 6 year old cousin would quote him), explicit content, dangerous challenges, and the whole structure of TikTok which is designed to keep you hooked and scrolling.

And like @hinters said, there were teachers complaining about the reading comprehension of students and I think that ultimately ties to the increased use of social media/the internet which was never seen before.

P0rn and shock content wasn't hard to find in the early days of the internet lol. As for Tiktok, until I find credible studies showing a decline in mental health for children/adolescence, then its not any more harmful than the myspace and facebook that Millennials were addicted to.

You didn’t have access to the internet 24/7 on widely available portable devices in the 2000s.

2010s changed the game completely with smart phones.
