The AK Line & Potential

World manufacturing capacity & potential can be roughly judged by the "AK Line." Countries that have domestic production of AK rifles generally can also produce other basic mechanical items. But inability to produce the AK suggests virtually zero domestic mechanical production ability.

For instance, Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and S. Africa produce AK, while other SSA nations do not. This accurately indicates that those 4 nations are above a certain technical baseline. These same nations could assemble kit automobiles, produce basic durables, etc.

Top 4 SSA nations in terms of potential: Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria & South Africa.

@GemState This should be moved to sticky so Somalis are reminded constantly of the AK LINE economy and their future potential into manufacturing. I couldn't stop thinking about this for days and it's wisdom. Industrial economies are heavily mechanized and mass production/mass consumption societies.

Then u see this primitive donkey carted economies, manual/hand based industries which only creates less production/less consumption and forget 'wealth' generation like assets-investments like the west.

@GemState is their also an equivalent AK LINE on business practises. The slovenly and word of mouth and lack of legal system/contracts and industrial business practises(expenses, debt, capital invesments, revenue, taxes principles) being stored/measured daily-quarterly-yearly in comparison to our business practises of word of mouth.

Can u please find an equivalent map of business practises primitive vs industrial. Plus our businesses are individual owned meaning all the win but all the loss vs stock market or sharing the risk/reward, is rare concept in the nation. Is it similar over SSA

@GemState their lots of economy n human capital who produce but don't innovate/research/progress add, those type of economies are robust long-term becuz they are evolving where-as the producing nations can't evolve their is huge gap there i noticed between west n the rest of the world.

So maybe we shud class civilizations as research/progress value add economies vs non research-value add economies who are great at producing only but will always go extinct also when the west innovates n value add in the economy. It's as if the west strategically snatch the 1% pyramid population worldwide and concentrate it in their nations while leaving us with the bulk average and lower human capital pyramid
