At least they are manufacturing the phones in Ethiopia And btw, why are you only mentioning Ethiopia and Somalia. You know techno has the #1 market share in Africa. Their main weapons are the camera that is highly optimized for dark skin people (honestly you can't compare the quality with Samsung & Co. they look shitty compared to techno), their low price, localized keyboards and service shops directly from the manufacturer.
