It sounds like it is a big blow to tech indistury, mostly in the US

It seems like the non-Geeks in tech are being hit hardest by this; people who recently tried to enter the market through bootcamps or are in non-tech roles at these big tech companies (HR, Business, etc).

I wouldn't want to be in ML/Data-science right now though. My younger brother started his first ML job in Toronto earlier this year and there's no way he would've had a chance now if he had to compete with all these experienced people on the market.
