Absolutely not justified to say non-Muslims have a right to rule over Muslims. Especially since the Taliban had help from Kashmiri groups like Laskar-e-taiba, Jeish-e-Mohammad, and Ansar ghazwa hind.

Yeah this is the reason but it still doesn't justify siding with the oppressors of a Muslim population. It's like siding with Israel and recognizing the the West Bank and Gaza as the Israel's territories. It's a shameful act even if you feel wronged.
