It’s just their culture. If they were Christian, they would still ban women’s education. I don’t care about weird pagan African cultures, so neither should we care about weird Asian cultures.

Issue is that on other social media platforms, you have so called practicing men, even some Somalis (the weird ones who like to call themselves abu so and so) are cheering on the ban and are writing explanations as to why it's justified. The Taliban have positioned themselves as being an Islamic government with Islamic norms and values. Also, with the rise of Alt-right and with Muslims trying to oppose feminism, some are now moving to the extreme opposite of banning or undermining anything that benefits women. Basic human rights for women are now seen as 'liberal'. Think about why Tate has become so popular amongst Muslim men even in the dawah scene? Also, most people in the Muslim community that support Tate, also support or are sympathetic towards banning women from education and work. Now all types of women's rights is interpreted as feminism.
