He must have faced food insecurity in his life. This most likely programmed his brain to subconsciously reward binge eating behavior in order to prepare for the next period of food insecurity. This is commonly seen in China were the older generation that endured famine are proud of their obesity. They even go as far to sport their plump bellies in public as a display of their prosperity.

It is said Wallahi. Somali society is forming into black Indians. If you covered the guys face you would think he is from Some Gujarat village.

I was talking to my cousin yesterday and he was telling how almost every other person in Somalia as an acid reflux or some kind of gastric problem. On top of that, they’re cooking with some unregulated imported vegetable oils.
