As revealed by European Investigative Collaborations in the Abu Dhabi Secrets investigation, the secret services of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hired Alp Services – a Swiss firm specialising in smear campaigns, spreading disinformation and creating fake accounts – in 2017 to spy on European citizens, among others[1]. Alp Services illegally shared the names of thousands of European citizens with the Emirati secret services. Organisations, politicians and activists in 18 European countries were targeted and discredited by wrongly connecting them to a radical Islamist network[2][3]. This smear campaign has damaged their reputations and contributed to public distrust of Muslims and Islam.

One obvious indication of this is when their bots talk about the threat of the “Muslim Brotherhood” only they are obsessed with that.

Also those accounts that say “What about Sudan” when you talk about Palestine but you search up UAE on their account and it’s nothing but praise despite them funding and arming the genocidal RSF.

This might be a bit of a reach, but I honestly think they’re leaning into the idea of the west collapsing, and they are definitely setting themselves up to benefit from it by attracting the affluent westerners with strategic marketing that promotes zero tax, no crime, modernity, etc. All that coupled up with the golden visas being their prime marketing appeal. Just look on social media. The Emirati and Dubai lifestyles are relentlessly promoted.

It’s a well calculated move on their end. All social trends in Europe, especially in the UK, point towards societal decay and collapse. They’ve heavily marketed themselves very well to get their hands on those ‘precious’ westerners for their desert kingdom. Check the figures for Brits relocating to the UAE in the last 5 years. There’s been a significant increase of 420%.

Their fear mongering and alarm of Islamophobia plays a big role. It all looks a lot less like concern and seems all too convenient for them.
