My little sister looks lighter than her and she 100% Somali, she doesn't look Somali but a generic mixed-race kid.

My cousin himself is White passing but he has the Somali features as (small straight nose for an example ) while his younger brother looks Lightskin Somali.

Even tho both was raised Swedish culture
They speak Somali language and know the Somali culture pretty well. He has the same love for Somalia like the way I do (more then Sweden )

It happens on both sides and it’s usually the ones with a madow mom who have less of an identity crisis. People are usually more closer to their mom and the moms family.

That being said I find it really irritating and hypocritical how caadans will NEVER accept a mixed person as just caadan while forcing us to accept their half breeds as full and acting insulted when we refuse or make the distinction.

Like when they hire black actors for roles they will always choose the mixed ones but yet when mixed people are hired for caadan characters they call it ‘black washing’ I fucking hate these people istg

Ur right in a sense Mixed kids with AA or WA mum dont got identity crise as severe if we compare it to when its a madow man go IR but its because their culture are very open n embrace them + mums always raise their kids.

However were speaking about Somalis who are not as welcoming. For example mixed kids with arab mum already kno arabs wont accept them so they tend to be closer with their madow side even if their hooyo is arab same with a cadaan hooyo theyll be closer to the black side. So in a sense it makes sense that mixed kids with somali mum try be closer with their ”black side” because of fear of rejection or feelin out of place as person with melanin.

I do agree with your last statement, but are somalis not quite progressive that theyll claim kids with qabiil but cadaans wont claim johns kids with a black mum?
