Subhanallah! Prophet Muhammed ﷺ taught us about this practice 1400+ years ago before this research!
It is called the Sunnah of "Tahneek تحنيك" which is performed by cutting a piece of a date fruit, and then rubbing the mouth of the newborn child with it, and it is also possible with natural honey.
How did the Prophet ﷺ know about this by himself? I have seen some modernist Muslims raise suspicion around this practice before, but Allah will show us many signs about the truth of His revelation!
