Macrobians were located next to the Southern Sea i.e the Indian Ocean. At no point in time did Sudan border the Indian Ocean. Cambyses, Persian conqueror of Egypt also tried to take Macrobia by force but it was simply too far away. If Macrobia was ancient Sudan how could it be too far away for a ruler already in Egypt?

This obsession over Macrobia was always cringe. We know next nothing about it and it was just some place mentioned off hand by Herodotus, a man infamous for his embellishments. There is no reason to believe it was some great civilization. Best stick with your Barbar city states instead of larping crap.
Inshallah there will be massive archeological digging and research done in Somalia that will reveal even more information about our great ancient civilizations. It will put that Macrobia stuff into the bin.
