Again, you can’t really compare Isaaq vs Darood. Baggara and some from Darfur will have bigger genetic, linguistic and phenotype differences than Somalis (who are essentially all related). Feautrism does play a role in this conflict even though there maybe some Baggara who look like Furs.

I think you misunderstood me and the Baggara. They, or any reer baadiyos like us, will not care about the look if your abtirsi, I mean, we have communities that look very much like west africans whom Somalis intermarry to, and their children will be considered to belong to their fathers clan. Same here with Baggara, they don't care about the look. This is why you could see them having diverse look. Chad fought and defeated the precursors of these Baggara Arab supremacists -> Tajammu al-Arabi (Arab Alliance); a Sudanese Arab militia that Gaddafi armed, supplied and unleashed on Nilo-Saharans in Chad; Gaddafi's vision was to create an Arab empire across the Sahel and explicitly told the Baggara that the region belonged to them.

The Sudanese State (starting with Nimeiry) did its part to strengthen the Baggara at the expense of the South; and this support to the Baggara from Khartoum continued with Sadiq Al Mahdi, Bashir and Burhan in Darfur.

Currently there is no group who systematically committing genocide in Sudan than the RSF. The sudanese army is fighting against them while not behaving like the RSF. Both sides argument here doesn't work and should applied. Talking about the history is another matter. But people are focused on the civilians who are being killed now.
