Are you stupid? The reason the Islamic world made it to year 1900 without being colonised was because of ottomans.
Arabs were a weak and divided people. Middle east would've been colonised starting the 1600s if it wasn't for the strong ottoman state fighting Portuguese superpower on damn near every continent. Oh and not to mention the Ottomans single-handedly took on all of Europe during a crusade and won. They made it all the way to the gates of Vienna in central Europe and put Christians in an existential crisis. Name me one Islamic state after the Umayyads that achieved this?

Ottomans realised they were fucked and tried to modernise but it was too little too late. Had they not been brought into ww1 by the young Turks they could've consolidated what they had left of the empire and modernised. Especially with oil being discovered in Arabia.
But it wasn't a simple ottoman issue, all civilisations thought they were superior and refused western innovations like the Chinese who also got carved up. Only countries who modernised and escaped colonialism were states like Japan, Thailand, ect.
But then they all got humiliated by Europeans and the modern world is a result of that.

The Europeans, especially England and France, wanted the Ottomans to remain because they were weak and would have fallen a long time ago in Russo-Turkish War 1878 The Russians reached the outskirts of Istanbul, but the British stopped them
And also Muhammad Ali Pasha when he built a strong and civilized state in Egypt, not like the Ottomans who banned printing, and Muhammad Ali wanted to unite the Arab peoples. He also arrived in Anatolia and was stopped by the British because they did not want a strong man like him to control the region. They wanted the weak rulers of the Ottoman family

The only reason Arabs still exist as a coherent people is because Turks protected them from European encroachment and bought them time until the post WW2 order happened.
