Somalis successful in Africa/Asia but unsuccessful in the west

re: Yemeni community in the US.

Over 30,000 Yemeni Americans live in Michigan. A significant population of Yemeni Americans live in the southside of Dearborn (Salina area). A few Yemenis had arrived in Michigan around 1900 but a much larger group came to work in the Ford Motor Company's Rouge Plant in the 1920s.[6] Immigration to Michigan is still occurring. A survey of Arab Americans in the Detroit area after 9/11 found that Yemenis made up 9% of the area's Arab population and that Yemenis had the largest families, the lowest rate of business ownership (3% compared to 20% for other Arab groups), and a high rate of employment in "trades" as opposed to services, administration, professional or sales (43 percent in trades compared to 7 to 17 percent for other Arabs groups).

They’re trying to convince us that Yemeni plumbers make more than Somali businesspeople . Self-hate is off the chart lol

Excuses. How do you explain South Americans, South East Asians and Balkan etc people who left their poverty and war riddened shithole in the mid-late 20th century and thrived in the West despite having little to no education and poor English proficiency?

The answer is very obvious. They did jobs that the first generation Somalis look down on. They started on the bottom doing manual labor and now are successful due to this reason.

The only justifiable excuse would be others settled when cost of living were cheap and affordable.
Most of those groups were in the west way before Somalis lol. And what about Ethiopians? They aren't successful whatsoever. Are you going to say they rejected menial jobs like Somalis?
