It's a hypothetical with two choices. Don't read into it so much. These are also the two ways that somalis and other muslim groups tend to be represented in media. Either they're conservative and "backwards", or liberal and "good". I would rather not be represented in western media at all.

I'm not old at all, I don't know why you would assume that. This is an important topic. People here always talk about how the Somali image was ruined by Barkhad Abdi & the pirates. Hollywood movies serve more important purposes than you would think but I honestly don't expect a person like you who so easily succumbed to Western illusions to understand this.
