I did not deny that farmajo government is rescuing those stuck in Libya . No one discredited farmajo , is just saying other African government Are doing the same thing under joint UN-African Union mandate . Aid money is what runs the gov so yes it is aid money that's paying for the repatriation .

It wasn't the AU who supported them. Someone else made that claim. The delegates were supported by a NGO called the International Organization of Migration.

Unfortunately most the Somalis there didn't want to leave.

Most of those captured were actually stuck in locations not controlled by the Libyan government and our delegates barely left the airport.

Not that I want them to negotiate with those gangs and pay ransom since that will turn all Somalis into fat lambs regardless of how poor they are.

They could at least put pressure on the government to force those gangs to release them.

We used to have a decent relationship with north African countries and maybe they could've made use of that historical relation.
