It is mainly in northern Somalia. There is no drought in south Somalia. In south Somalia it was man made famine in the past due to conflicts with Al shabab and blockades.

Very true, the South shouldn't be experiencing severe droughts..

Droughts mainly effect Puntland Somaliland and hawdka. Alxamdulilah Puntland is much better prepared than in recent years..it's a good test to see if the actions taken can prevent from a disaster and to learn how to manage and turn it around..

It's climate, we can't change it all we can do is learn from it and improve our conditions and develop immunity against it

Just look at any satellite map, the North is Arid the more South you get the greener it is

Yep.In peace time there should be no reason why there should be a drought in southern Somalia. The only reason there is crisis/distressed in Bay/Bakool area is because of Al shabab.
