What's wild is that this is the 2nd time they're doing this shit. They've baiscally put themselves on china's radar and like the guy on that YouTube interview I posted said. They'll make it a goal of their's to block any lobbying for somaliland recognition in the u.n

It wouldn't even surprise me if they put pressure on international organizations to block funding to somaliland after this maritime pact. Im almost tempted to wonder if the people who convinced cirro to due to this are pro unionists

I know part of the propagnda campaign against Somalilnd to paint it as maverick/wreckless/incompetent but really you have to ask why has China shown aggression to Somaliland when many other countries have similar views? It's just Africa which largely seems to have been captured by cheap chinese loans which may lead to the warped perception that the Taiwan is untouchable. Some countries even have full embassies of Taiwan.

At the end of the day you have to ask: does China fund Somaliland's budget? Is China ready to recognize Somaliland? I think it's a no to both questions. So Somaliland is free to make it's own foreign policy. I think Taiwan is a good ally and partner for Somaliland.

I might clown on SL (mainly because of their cuqdad) but walahi they have every right to separate. They're already separate, but making it official seems to be difficult. Somalia is a failed state, lets be honest with ourselves. Why should SL sink with them? Compared to Somalia, they're doing great for themselves.

Only reason i am kinda hesitant is i fear what will happen when they separate? Like What if another region also tries to separate? Also, even if they separated, they'll probably separate even further. There was already a fight.

I fear it might become like qabil where even if a region separated, it will keep separating into even smaller regions till there is nothing left.

Only SL is interested in seccesionism. There is no reality where Somalia is balkanized since the international community would never accept it. AS is still around as well.
