Naivasha is one of Kenya's prime land. Beautiful scenery, fertile volcanic soil, and less than 50 miles from Nairobi, not to mention 5000 acres is only the first phase

These are not somalilanders, they are Kenyan Somalis.

They are part of the Somaliland diaspora in Kenya who have been there for 2 centuries. They never forgot their roots even though they are are a recognized community in Kenya. :gaasdrink:

Some old British Baron had 99 year lease on 100,000 acres of this land which is why it's being awarded out now through Kenyan legal system to claimants. :wowsweat:

Duriyaada should campaign for more of it. :mjswag:

No such thing as "diaspora" I have plenty of Somali family from my tol in Kenya. They identify as Somali Kenyans.Furthermore they aren't giving citizenship to Isaaqs from Kenya.

You clearly don't know how Somaliland citizenship works then.

It is done on sub-clan basis. These Kenyan Isaaqs could all get one tomorrow if they wanted. All you have to do is get your Caqil (Chief) of your subclan to vouch for you as genuine member of the clan. As long as your subclan was living within the borders of British Somaliland before 1960, you are eligible for SL citizenship. This would make any Kenyan Isaaqs eligible for SL citizenship by descent.

Reer Waqooyi Sijuis are usually wealthy. I have first cousins with links to Kenya (they own a
large farm and a mall). However Isaaq Sijuis usually don't give a f*ck about Somaliland they
see themselves as Kenyan first.

At the wedding I tried to mingle with the family and it was around the SL election so I started to talk about politics with few of them. It was one of the most awkward convo I ever had. A grown ass man said ma kasaayi Muuse biixi :mahubowtf:

Another grown ass girl in her twenties pronounced habar awal as habar abal. :faysalwtf:

My attempt at fkd failed. It ruined my mood :hillarybiz:

The British brought 15 thousand Isaaqs and gave them their own land in Kenya during the late 19th century or possibly the early 20th century. Plus they did not forgot their lineage, it's just they are Kenyan nationalist and don't give a f*ck about Somaliland or Isaaq.
