Somaliland’s lingering jihadi threat

Somaliland clans have clear clan boundaries. Terrorism is more common in areas with territorial disputes where the main government clans are seen as oppressors against weaker clans i.e. places like Calmiskad mountains of Migiurtinia province, Caluula village, Iskushaban, and even Boosaaso as well as the rest of the South where its even worse.

Terrorists who cross over from Southern provinces like PL can succeed in the North because there are no major clan grievances. No clans with major ongoing territorial disputes. Everyone snitches for his clan against shisheeye terrorists and no clan requests shisheeye terrorist help

A good way to put it is clan loyalty and respecting clan boundaries stops terrorism. A bad way to look at it is Northerners are the most qabiilist in Somaaliweyn and they respect their neighboring clans because everyone knows the other clan is very qabiilist and they will retaliate precisely against your clan/subclan so your own family will stop you from provoking neighboring qabiilist rivals

None of those places have terrorists or clan disputes. Al Shabaab's leader in the mountains is Omar Mohamed Aden who is a Isaaq from Somaliland. He is the third Shabaab leader who is Isaaq. His group conduct terrorist acts everywhere but his own Somaliland region.

And Isaaq support PL state bringing justice to that Isaaq terror commander. The problem is terrorists find safe local supporters feeding/housing them because of local grievances against the AaranJaan regime. May PL defeat those Isaaq terror commandos. Amin
There is not local support, which is why they are in the mountains. You mentioned towns and made it appear they control them. The Isaaq Shabaab hide in the mountains and bomb other Somalis, just like Godane, Arale and Afghani did in the south.

Its insulting to the clans of PL region to say that exiled Isaaq terrorists are doing this on their own

How do fugitive Isaaq terrorist militiamen occupy a PL town of BalliDhedin and execute the local PL mayor, without help from local PL clans

Just admit it. There are PL local clans who have grudges against neighboring clans and thats what fuels terrorism in the the southern provinces, including PL. Thats the pattern of terrorism in Dont portray certain Bari clans as sheep occupied/herded by Isaaq terror shepherds.

Northerners and Southerners should be on the same side. Against terrorism

You are making things up without evidence. What I am saying is facts. 2 out of the 3 Shabaab Emirs were Isaaq. They are not stationed in Somaliland even though there are mountains suitable for guerilla warefare. They blow up graduation ceremonies and officials all over Somalia but not their own. The current Emir of Shabaab in Galgala is also Isaaq.

Kilwe hasn't been Emir since at least 2016. The current man is Habar Jeclo. Afghani and Arale were also from Somaliland. It's a trifecta. We don't need to hear terror support from you guys when you have kids from your region on Tik Tok celebrating bombings.

Tell us what happened with the Bosaso port manager? Was he killed by terrorists by the request of certain clans?
Apparently so as this PL officer comforts the terrorist by saying "you killed an infidel foreigner you who did a great deed for your people" no wonder why ISIS is active in their territory

What we know is that the terrorists are exiled from the greater Isaaqistan region. Northerners, including Isaaq, support Southern provinces like PL bringing justice to those Isaaq fugitives. We dont need to speculate about whether they are motivated by Isaaq qabiilism or clan hatred against southern clan.

The other thing we know is that Northerners are devoted and unabashedly loyal to their clans/subclans, which actually prevents the rise of terrorism as long as every clan/subclan wants to avoid provoking neighboring qabiilist clans.

You should see the thread by @Pwyneth Galtrow about why PL has less terrorism than the rest of the south. I said the same thing: PL has fewer grievances and disputes, clan boundaries are more clearly demarcated, and clan elders are more empowered to resolve disputes without interference from shisheeye/ajnabi terrorists or local warlords.

That situation of clan treaties and equilibrium between clans is the norm in JSL. Less so in the South, except PL where clan dispute resolutions system are more similar to JSL in someways but they still have ongoing disputes between clans/subclans
