Am not a fan of geele though he is useless when it comes to giving opportunities to his own Djibouti Somalis. The country is very small with money pouring in from the bases yet people live in slums.
Reer muqdisho like him because he supports them politically against the other clans maybe the other clans would also like if he was on their side. Somalis are opportunistic and will look the other way if you treat them good.
