Whoever is behind this letter should be sacked. Insane statement that will only damage relations with our principal ally and supporter America
Not at all it is a very wise statement, its actually quite politically correct and vague statement. Since it doesn't clarify between PRC and ROC it only says it supports one China.
Remember that Ethiopia is violating our own sovereignty. And this statement reiterates that we stand for political independence and national unity.
Couldn't be a better statement to make and a better timing, who ever made it should get a pat on their shoulder

There are many states that are fully financed and build by China who didn’t spoke about this, yet we with nothing from them, and 2/3 of our budget come from USA and EU jump in the middle as the defender of China unity.

You see? I was actually kinda shocked when I read it. This is not the normal ‘we respect the one China policy’. It effectively attacks Pelosi’s visit.
I’m sure something like this as a one time thing won’t affect our relations but I hope the government recalculates because the US can change its ‘One Somalia’ depending on how close we get with China.
